The Barons of Fyn is a card based strategy game in which competing players each try to become the most mighty Baron of Fyn.
The Barons of Fyn is not a computer game. It is a table-top game. The game is distributed in two forms:
The Barons of Fyn.ps - this contains two Postscript files, one for the rules and the other for the card plates. All that is needed is a Postscript printer and a utility to download a Postscript file to the printer. This version is available as a PKZIPed file or a Compact Pro file.
The Barons of Fyn.mac - a runtime app for the Mac with the rules and card plates. All that is needed is a printer to print these out.
The Postscript version is the preferred version, but is usable only if you have access to a Postscript printer. Otherwise, the Mac version is available. There is no difference in the rules or the cards, the only difference is in the presentation of the game.
The Barons of Fyn is distributed as shareware. If you like it, play it! (And maybe email us to let us know what you think it.) We are asking for no money, we only ask that you give it a try, and give it to as many of your friends as you can.
